Freilich am See in Bad Saarow

We celebrated our wedding on October 3rd, 2020 in Freilich am See and it was exactly as we always wanted it to be. The location on the lake is just perfect. The service team was great and responded to all of our requests. The food was incredibly delicious, and our guests raved about it. Despite Corona, we had the wedding of our dreams there. We hope you will get through the winter safely, if we are allowed to return, we will definitely come by for dinner one time or another.

Very nice facility with an upscale feel-good atmosphere. Very friendly service. To detach my pork knuckle from the bone, I almost only needed the fork and the crust was nice and crispy. Very tasty and enjoyable stay. The one star deduction is only available because of the high prices, which in my opinion are a bit exaggerated. I still enjoyed my visit here.

Location and ambience excellent. Lunch unfortunately a disaster. We were with 10 people in the restaurants. Sometimes the food was too salty, then again not seasoned at all. In addition, some ingredients were still cold or not fully thawed. And you should come to the restaurant pre-saturated, the portions are so small that the average citizen goes out hungry. Prices are incredibly high, and absolutely unacceptable for this food. It's a shame, but we won't be back!

I'm not a gourmet, but if a lot of money is being asked, the portions are too small to fill you up (star chefs don't put on the plate either), then at least the taste should justify the price .. unfortunately that was not the case .. Been there several times due to operational reasons .. always disappointed .. unfortunately not recommended ..

We were here for dinner on 09/15/2020. The restaurant is in a very idyllic location on the Scharmützelsee. The waiters are all very friendly and have a lot of fun in store. The food is very tasty and has a slightly Bavarian touch, which is not a disadvantage Absolutely to suggest.

We went out to eat with kids on a Sunday evening. The location attracted us. Unfortunately we will regret the visit. Starting with only one meal booked for the children, we didn't get any cutlery and this was only given after a request to a tasteless fish - everything was included. The fish went back my pork knuckle was ok, nothing more. Gin-tonic was brought with lemon instead of lime, the invoice amount was not announced but only turned on. Worst of all, however, was the behavior of a waitress who did not take the name. Several times audibly called pig, was always annoyed, did not see himself as part of the team but rode his colleagues in. They complained about us within earshot. Here the customer is not king and if your time is worth it, invest it in another restaurant by the lake. Here we felt absolutely not in good hands and the food is little and not tasty for high prices.

The ambience and the location on the lake are very nice. The service seemed overwhelmed to me, even though the restaurant wasn't full. The food took a long time to be served. There is still a lot of room for improvement. What I didn't find funny at all was that instead of a receipt with VAT, I only received an INTERMEDIATE RECEIPT! Unfortunately, I only noticed this after we left. Too bad.

Has been there twice now. Both times we have found that the tone of the female waitresses is more reminiscent of a barracks yard than a host. Today's example: Question about the men's toilet (symbol was hidden by the open door of the disabled toilet), answer: Are you blind? Guests who took a seat at the neighboring table at Ober's behest were snapped at that they shouldn't just look for a table themselves. On their objection that one had been referred to that table, there was no due excuse for the misshapen tone. Male strength clearly more facing in tone. The shop is beautiful inside, 08/15 outside. Outside you get uncomfortably loud and bass-heavy from the DJ. The dishes are too expensive in relation to quality and portion size and are too expensive for a beer garden, and some of them are not well presented. Pikeperch came in a deep plate, at the bottom of which the bread dumplings in the stock were soggy. Fried chicken with potato salad was tiny for 12 euros. Especially the mini dab of potato salad. All in all, we weren't completely dissatisfied, but with a little more effort and free friendliness we would have been completely satisfied, also given the beautiful location.

Friendly service, great view over the lake. Food was also very tasty. There are 4 stars only because at the beginning it was not that nice with the service and small things were not ok!

Modern furnishings, pleasant atmosphere, friendly service. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The wild herb salad with a lot of lamb's lettuce and a more than crispy strip of bacon, which must have been fried long before serving. I would have liked honey as a counterpart to goat cheese, probably with caramelized walnuts. Overall a bit too expensive for quantity and quality (10 €). The spaetzle as the main course was a huge portion (11.50 €) but a bit too salty. There was also a salad / coleslaw mixture as a side dish. It's a shame that the dishes weren't thought through to the end. So unfortunately only average. We sat in the interior. The guests were placed at a distance. No Corona contact details were requested.

I hope we just got the wrong day .... A waitress for all guests ... very hard-working, but completely overwhelmed .. and the cook too ... fish and steak fried to the point ... but everything was completely unseasoned, not even salt, including the salad .. without dressing, the goat cheese not au gratin, walnuts not roasted, pear small cubes .. with bread, which I liked very much, but was served with the salad with my daughter and my husband's gluten allergy, which had been announced several times ... everything after a very long waiting time, we also received the drinks, the water only after the 2nd order, much later, the bottle of wine didn't come after a very long wait ... I hope it was only due to the short-term staff shortage, that can happen anywhere, but a word from the boss: We're sorry, everything could take a little longer today ... would have generated more understanding ...

Great addition to the Saarow gastronomy. Worthwhile in summer and winter. Menu has a nice profile with a Bavarian touch. Pleasantly designed rooms, great outdoor dining in the summer right on the lake. The sunset is often spectacular, a good time to meet up with friends or enjoy as a couple.

The location is great. The staff and boss very friendly and attentive (bill had to be requested twice). We only ate little things that were delicious. Prices are still fair, but not cheap. It's great what the new operators have made of the store.

The interior of the restaurant itself is fantastically designed. Very tasteful, modern Bavarian, reinterpreted. Service very courteous and friendly. We were unlucky with the food that day. Rarely a tough Wiener schnitzel has been eaten in recent years (a third). My wife's fish was fine. Get a second chance.

We can only recommend it. Great atmosphere, good service and very tasty food, not very cheap but justified according to the quality. In addition, it should not be forgotten that it is Bad Saarow and that a health resort has ever higher prices, especially with its direct location on the Scharmützelsee 👌 We will be back and recommend it 👍☺️

We have been here twice and it has been very good each time! I like to eat Wiener Schnitzel because it can definitely hold the water for the original. The service is very nice, attentive and courteous. In terms of price, the Freilich am See is a bit higher, but because the quality of the ingredients used is excellent, the price level is reasonable. We are going back here!

Pleasant place on the shore of a huge lake in the green zone. The selection of dishes on the menu pleased. Ordered a pike perch. Suddenly, it was served with pasta. But delicious. Very gentle and warm interior. But unfortunately, the staff does not speak English. Highly recommend!

This is the place to be. Awesome!
